Interdisciplinary Studies, Instant, designed by Fariba Khamseh first released in May, 2026 in the set Alchemy: Secrets of Strixhaven.
**Interdisciplinary Studies** is a blue card-advantage spell that fits best in slower blue-based control or midrange decks—especially in Limited or formats where you can reliably draft/play powerful multicolored bombs and a Lesson sideboard package—because it effectively draws a guaranteed multicolored card while also giving you a Lesson via learn, generating strong value over time. However, at three mana for no immediate board impact, it is generally too slow and low-impact for competitive Constructed formats; cards like **Expressive Iteration** (in formats where it’s legal), **Growth Spiral**, **Memory Deluge**, or even cheaper cantrips like **Consider** provide more efficient card selection or advantage. In most competitive environments this card would not see play unless the metagame strongly rewards multicolor consistency and Lessons, but in Limited—particularly Strixhaven draft—it is quite solid and often desirable.
