This Plated Spider card would be beneficial in a green deck that focuses on defense and controlling the board against flying creatures. While it provides a solid blocker with reach, there are potentially better options like Thornweald Archer or Nylea's Disciple that offer additional abilities or synergies. This card now uses the Reach keyword ability to enable the blocking of flying creatures. This works because a creature with flying can only be blocked by creatures with flying or reach.
