A deck focused on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a black-based sacrifice deck in Magic: the Gathering, would benefit from using Pillar Tombs of Aku. However, there are better options available, such as cards like Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos, which provide similar effects with more control and consistency. Pillar Tombs of Aku could see play in casual or thematic decks, but it may not be competitive in more optimized strategies.

This has the supertype world. When a world permanent enters the battlefield, any world permanents that were already on the battlefield are put into their owners’ graveyards. This is a state-based action called the “world rule.” The new world permanent stays on the battlefield. If two world permanents enter the battlefield at the same time, they’re both put into their owners’ graveyards.
