A control deck focused on tempo and disruption would benefit from using Reservoir Kraken, as it provides a powerful threat with trample and ward that can also generate additional blockers. However, there are better options available in the Magic: the Gathering card pool, such as Questing Beast or Thragtusk, which offer more immediate impact or value. Ultimately, Reservoir Kraken may not see much play in competitive decks due to its relatively high mana cost and vulnerability to removal.
