About Brain Freeze

Brain Freeze, Instant, designed by Tim Hildebrandt first released in May, 2003 in the set Scourge and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It see play in 3 formats: Vintage, Commander and Legacy. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 8.92. It's a key card in 3 combos.

Brain Freeze would be a great addition to a Storm deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can help trigger multiple copies with its Storm ability, potentially milling a significant portion of the opponent's library. However, a better alternative might be Tendrils of Agony, which can deal direct damage to the opponent based on the number of spells cast that turn, providing a more immediate win condition. Brain Freeze could still see play in a Storm deck as a supplementary mill option or as a backup win condition.

Rules

06/07/13

A copy of a spell can be countered like any other spell, but it must be countered individually. Countering a spell with storm won’t affect the copies.

06/07/13

The copies are put directly onto the stack. They aren’t cast and won’t be counted by other spells with storm cast later in the turn.

06/07/13

You may choose new targets for any of the copies. You can choose differently for each copy.
