About Simulacrum
Simulacrum, Instant, designed by Mark Poole first released in Aug, 1993 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 12 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.31.
This card, Simulacrum, could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on lifegain and sacrificing creatures for value. It could work well in a deck that aims to control the board by using its ability to redirect damage dealt to you to a creature you control, potentially enabling strategic trades or triggering beneficial effects. However, there may be better options available depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, which can amplify lifegain effects and deal damage to opponents. Whether Simulacrum sees play would depend on the overall synergy and effectiveness within the deck's game plan.
Rules
08/01/08
Simulacrum is the source of the damage. If an effect needs to know a characteristic of the damage’s source (Protection from Black, for instance), it will see the damage coming from Simulacrum.
10/04/04
You can’t use Simulacrum on Loss of Life, just damage.
