About Psychic Surgery

Psychic Surgery, Enchantment, designed by Anthony Francisco first released in May, 2011 in the set New Phyrexia. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.02.

Psychic Surgery would be most beneficial in a control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's strategy by manipulating their library. While it can provide some advantage in certain situations, there are more efficient and impactful cards available in the format for control decks, such as Thoughtseize or Surgical Extraction, which offer more immediate and reliable disruption. Psychic Surgery may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its situational nature and the availability of stronger alternatives.

In most cases, Green Sun’s Zenith instructs you to shuffle your library twice. Although shuffling that library only once is an acceptable shortcut, Psychic Surgery’s ability will still trigger twice.

You look at the top two cards of that library as the triggered ability resolves. That happens after your opponent is done shuffling.
