Carrion, Instant, designed by Geofrey Darrow first released in Oct, 1996 in the set Mirage. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 6.04.
A deck focused on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a black sacrifice or aristocrats deck, would benefit from using Carrion in Magic: the Gathering. While Carrion can generate a decent number of Insect tokens based on the power of the sacrificed creature, there are potentially better options like Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder or Pawn of Ulamog which provide additional benefits when creatures are sacrificed. However, Carrion could still see play in specific strategies looking to flood the board with tokens and take advantage of sacrificing creatures for various synergies.

You must sacrifice exactly one creature to cast this spell; you cannot cast it without sacrificing a creature, and you cannot sacrifice additional creatures.
