The Pauper Guild presents...
Battle of the Brews: Ash Barrens
Hear ye! Hear ye! The fans have spoken and declared that this inaugural BotB event will be formatted as PAUPER SINGLETON!
Welcome to the first in what we hope will be a long line of FREE, entertaining tournaments where the style and format is chosen by you! Did I mention that it's FREE?
Some basics before we get started:
1. Editing decklists is not allowed after entering the tournament. The organizers will be notified if there is a change to any submitted deck. We recommend putting your deck as SECRET. Only when we have the Top 8 the decklists will become public.
2. An hour and a half before all pairings are set, the organizers will check to see if there are missed matches from the previous round. If any have not yet been played and the two participants are not available, a 0-0-3 tie will be decreed. If only 1 player is present, the present player will receive 2-0. Yes, although you have 24 to 48 hours to play your round, you should try to be online 1.5 hours before the next round if you still didn't found your opponent.
3. When creating your match, use the following format: "BOTB VS. [OPPONENT] TABLE [X]". If it works out better for both players, you may contact your opponent through MTGO chat to set up a time to play your match.
4. To play, players will need to have decklists, MTGO name and Discord name (if applicable) saved. To save this information, go to "profile" and then to "edit profile". From MTGO, you can export your deck and import it into your Cardsrealm profile.
5. A screenshot of the victory screen is recommended. Check the internet before you start playing so there are no problems.
6. Players that are inactive for 2 rounds straight will be dropped from the event.
7. The administrators can and will change the number of rounds according to the number of players in the tournament
8. Split between players in Swiss rounds is forbidden in order to enter the TOP 16 or TOP 8. Players who are identified by splitting will receive an 0-2 record for the match.
9. Any situation not mentioned in the tournament rules will be solved by the administration in the best possible way, seeking the well-being of the participants and the best experience.
