Magic announces Secret Lair with SpongeBob SquarePants

Universes Beyond can go way beyond expected: during MagicCon Vegas, Wizards of the Coast announced an unprecedented partnership for the Secret Lair series with the famous animation from Nickelodeon studios, SpongeBob SquarePants.

The announcement was confirmed on the official Magic: The Gathering Twitter. The product has no cards revealed yet, and its launch date is scheduled for 2025.

It's not the first time that Magic has brought peculiar partnerships to Secret Lair: in July, a bundle in partnership with Monty Python And the Holy Grail was announced.

At MagicCon Vegas, Wizards also revealed its release window for 2025, in addition to the changing the legality of Universes Beyond products to include Standard and Pioneer, which will cause some rotation changes in 2027.
