Un mazo de control o tempo se beneficiaría del uso de Chromium, the Mutable debido a su capacidad de ser incontrastable, tener flash y volverse imbloqueable con antimaleficio. Si bien Chromium es una carta sólida, puede que no sea la mejor opción en todas las situaciones. Algunos mazos pueden preferir otros rematadores o amenazas más eficientes, como Teferi, Time Raveler o Baneslayer Angel, según el meta y el estilo de juego. Sin embargo, Chromium aún puede jugarse en ciertos metajuegos o como una opción de banquillo contra mazos con mucho control.
