Mind Sludge, Sorcery, designed by Eric Peterson first released in Feb, 2002 in the set Torment and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 55.12.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board and generating a lot of Swamps would benefit from using Mind Sludge, as it can be a powerful tool to disrupt the opponent's hand and resources. However, there are better alternatives like Mind Twist, which can target any player and doesn't rely on the number of lands you control. While Mind Sludge can still be a viable option in certain strategies, it may not see as much play compared to more versatile and efficient discard spells.
