About Auspicious Starrix

Auspicious Starrix, Creature — elk beast, designed by Lucas Graciano first released in Apr, 2020 in the set Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.17.

This card would benefit a deck focused on creature-based strategies that aim to quickly build a board presence and generate card advantage through its mutate ability. While Auspicious Starrix can be a powerful addition to such a deck, there are other cards like Brokkos, Apex of Forever that offer similar mutate abilities with additional benefits, making them potentially better options depending on the specific deck's strategy and synergy. Auspicious Starrix could see play in decks looking to capitalize on its unique abilities and synergies within the context of a mutate-focused strategy.

Rules

04/17/20

Any cards that you exile but don’t put on the battlefield for any reason (for example, because the card is an instant card or an Aura that can’t enchant anything) remain in exile.

04/17/20

Auspicious Starrix’s effect doesn’t count as playing lands. It can put land cards onto the battlefield even if it’s not your turn or if you’ve already played your land for the turn.

04/17/20

If an Aura is put onto the battlefield without being cast, the Aura’s controller-to-be chooses what it will enchant as it enters the battlefield. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way doesn’t target anything (so it could be attached to an opponent’s permanent with hexproof, for example), but the Aura’s enchant ability restricts what it can be attached to. If the Aura can’t legally be attached to anything, it remains in its current zone.
