Cette carte serait bénéfique dans un deck qui se concentre sur la création et le renforcement de créatures de grande puissance, comme un deck aggro vert-blanc ou un deck de rampe. Cependant, il existe de meilleures options disponibles, telles que Rhox Faithmender qui double la vie gagnée, le rendant plus impactant dans le gain de vie. Bien que Dogsnail Engine puisse être amusant et plein de saveur, il pourrait ne pas être joué en compétition en raison de son effet limité par rapport à d'autres cartes disponibles.
