About Overwhelming Stampede

A deck with big creatures that have high power and can easily generate a wide board presence, such as a green ramp deck or a token strategy, would benefit most from Overwhelming Stampede. It's a great finisher card that can push through a lot of damage in one swing. However, there are indeed better cards like Craterhoof Behemoth, which also gives trample and a power boost but on a significantly higher scale, making it a more popular choice in competitive decks. Depending on the deck strategy, Overwhelming Stampede could still see play as a budget alternative or in more casual settings where the extra points of damage it can provide can make a big impact.

You check the power of your creatures as Overwhelming Stampede resolves. For example, if you control a 2/1 creature, a 2/2 creature, a 2/4 creature, a 4/1 creature, a 5/5 creature, and a 5/6 creature at that time, each of your creatures gets +5/+5 and gains trample until end of turn.
