Questa carta sarebbe vantaggiosa in un mazzo focalizzato sull'opprimere l'avversario con uno sciame di creature potenti, in quanto può generare rapidamente un numero significativo di copie token di sé stessa. Mentre Nacatl War-Pride è una carta forte per creare una presenza sul campo, altre carte come Avenger of Zendikar o Craterhoof Behemoth potrebbero essere opzioni migliori per un impatto più immediato o un potenziale di fine partita. Tuttavia, Nacatl War-Pride potrebbe comunque essere giocata in mazzi che cercano di inondare il campo con minacce aggressive e capitalizzare sull'oppressione dell'avversario con numeri puri.
