Rooftop Percher si adatterebbe meglio ai mazzi midrange o di controllo più lenti che possono trarre vantaggio da una creatura evasiva a cinque mana con odio incidentale per il cimitero e guadagno di punti vita, in particolare nelle build Changeling/sinergia tribale (come i mazzi che sfruttano carte "il tipo di creatura conta" come quelli con signori tribali o carte come Realmwalker) o meta in cui sono rilevanti piccole quantità di interazione con il cimitero; tuttavia, a cinque mana il suo impatto è abbastanza modesto, dal momento che esiliare solo fino a due carte dai cimiteri è minore rispetto al più forte odio del cimitero assegnato a creature come Graveyard Trespasser (più efficiente e dirompente), Skyclave Apparition (rimozione più flessibile) o persino Angel of Finality (che può esiliare un intero cimitero allo stesso costo), e per puro valore o pressione ci sono in genere volanti a cinque mana più forti nella maggior parte dei formati, quindi mentre potrebbe essere giocabile in

If an effect causes a creature with changeling to become a new creature type, it will be only that new creature type (unless the effect says "in addition" or similar). It will still have changeling; the effect making it all creature types will simply be overwritten.

If an effect causes a creature with changeling to lose all abilities, it will remain all creature types, even though it will no longer have changeling. This is because changeling applies before the effect that removes it.

The subtype Shapeshifter that appears on the type line is mostly there to reinforce the flavor. A creature card with changeling is just as much a Kithkin, a Goblin, a Merfolk, and a Brushwagg as it is a Shapeshifter.

You don't have to choose any targets for Rooftop Percher's triggered ability. However, if you do and all of the targets are illegal as the ability tries to resolve, it won't resolve and none of its effects will happen. You won't gain life.
