The combination of Tolarian Terror and Up the Beanstalk put up some results in last season's Standard until the enchantment was banned, but it never reached the top of the Metagame. At the time, the archetype already used the interaction between This Town Ain't Big Enough and Stormchaser's Talent as a complementary win condition, and the last few years have been generous to both fronts. The Terror line gained Eddymurk Crab as an additional threat, while the Talent line received Boomerang Basics for more beneficial Bounce loops.

Now, the archetype returns to competitive Magic with a list running all these cards in one place!

Our primary goal is to fill the graveyard with enough spells to cast Tolarian Terror and Eddymurk Crab early. Both have the advantage of dodging Fatal Push, but while Terror protects itself better early on, Crab holds off Aggro's clock or enables sudden wins by tapping down the opponent's blockers at the end of turn.

Both trigger Up the Beanstalk. Combined with This Town Ain't Big Enough, the four cards complement each other to create an efficient card advantage engine.

If we relied solely on the graveyard, we would lose automatically to Rest in Peace and the like. Our win condition also includes the interactions between Stormchaser's Talent with Boomerang Basics and This Town Ain't Big Enough to multiply 1/1 Prowess tokens on board. Both are also efficient Tempo plays and enable loops with Talent in longer games.

Midnight Tilling and Consider accelerate the process of fueling the graveyard. Both also feed the condition to turn Flow State into a blue Expressive Iteration.

Bushwhack doubles as board interaction and a way to guarantee lands early. Analyze the Pollen also searches for lands, but its usual role is to fetch Eddymurk Crab to tap down the opponent's blockers and go for a lethal attack.

Soul-Guide Lantern is the most versatile graveyard hate option available to this deck. Exiling an entire graveyard for one mana lets you play less around specific cards, and Heritage Reclamation already handles specific problems in a slot that also deals with Monument to Endurance or Esika's Chariot.

Aggro is a problem if we start with slower turns, so we need a full set of Ephara's Dispersal to hold them off. The spell also works as a pseudo-extra turn against Greasefang if we bounce Parhelion II or Greasefang itself back to hand.

Change the Equation handles low-cost problems and has grown in necessity due to the recent popularity of Mono Green Cub / Mono Green Ramp.

Negate protects our threats from removal, sweepers like Culling Ritual, or highly impactful spells like Teferi, Hero of Dominaria.

Quantum Riddler comes in for grindy matches and/or when the Up the Beanstalk plan is more efficient than the "go-wide" plan with Stormchaser's Talent. Together, both let you refill and empty your hand quickly with the right card combination.
