About Obeka, Brute Chronologist

Obeka, Brute Chronologist, Legendary creature — ogre wizard, designed by Jesper Ejsing first released in Oct, 2020 in the set Commander Legends and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.45. It's a key card in 2 combos.

A deck that aims to control the tempo of the game and disrupt the opponent's strategy would benefit from including Obeka, Brute Chronologist. This card can be particularly useful in decks that rely on instant-speed interactions or want to protect their own board state by prematurely ending the opponent's turn. While there may be other cards with similar effects, Obeka's unique ability to end the turn can catch opponents off guard and provide strategic advantages. Whether or not it should see play depends on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, but it certainly has the potential to be a powerful tool in the right hands.

Rules

10/11/20

Ending the turn this way means the following things happen in order: 1) All spells and abilities on the stack are exiled. This includes spells and abilities that can’t be countered. 2) If there are any attacking and blocking creatures, they’re removed from combat. 3) State-based actions are checked. No player gets priority, and no triggered abilities are put onto the stack. 4) The current phase and/or step ends. The game skips straight to the cleanup step. 5) The cleanup step happens in its entirety.

10/11/20

If the turn ends before the end step, any “At the beginning of the next end step” triggered abilities won’t get the chance to trigger that turn because the end step has been skipped. Those abilities will trigger next turn at the beginning of the end step.
