Magic: Starting with Aetherdrift, Boxes will have fewer booster packs

After several distributors launched pre-orders for Magic: The Gathering's upcoming expansion, Aetherdrift, with booster boxes containing 30 packs, a representative from Wizards of the Coast officially confirmed via Reddit that the boxes will come with fewer packs.

According to the representative, this decision came from player and retailer feedback on Murders at Karlov Manor, with Aetherdrift being the most viable expansion to make this change. According to them, both players and stores have stated that they would prefer a display of 30 booster packs instead of 36.

As noted by some users and mentioned by the representative, the reduction in packs in a box might directly affect and reduce the price of booster boxes, but the MSRP for the Magic: The Gathering booster pack will remain the same.
