Een kaartspel dat zich richt op het beheersen van het bord en het verwijderen van bedreigingen zou er baat bij hebben Damn in zijn strategie op te nemen, vooral als het consistent genoeg zwarte mana kan genereren. Hoewel Damn een solide verwijderingsspreuk is met het potentieel om meerdere wezens uit te roeien met zijn overbelastingsvermogen, zijn er andere opties zoals Damnation of Toxic Deluge die vergelijkbare effecten bieden tegen lagere kosten, waardoor ze potentieel betere keuzes zijn, afhankelijk van de specifieke behoeften van het deck.
