Een deck dat profiteert van Keranos, God of Storms zou een controle- of midrange-deck zijn dat zich richt op blauwe en rode spreuken, met als doel een hoge toewijding aan die kleuren te behouden om Keranos consequent actief te hebben als een krachtige kaartvoordeelmotor en verwijderingstool. Hoewel Keranos een sterke kaart is in het juiste kaartspel, kunnen er betere opties zijn, afhankelijk van de specifieke strategie en meta, zoals Teferi, Time Raveler of Jace, de Mind Sculptor in controledecks, of Chandra, Torch of Defiance in midrange-decks. Keranos zou spel moeten zien in decks die op zoek zijn naar een engine met een sterke waarde en extra verwijderingsopties.
