Een kaartspel dat zich richt op kleurmanipulatie of synergieën van landtypes, zoals een controledek dat specifieke strategieën wil verstoren of een kaartspel dat profiteert van het veranderen van zijn eigen permanenten voor strategisch voordeel, zou profiteren van Mind Bend. Voor meer veelzijdige en krachtige opties bieden kaarten zoals Sleight of Mind of Alter Reality echter vergelijkbare effecten met bredere toepassingen, waardoor ze mogelijk betere keuzes zijn, afhankelijk van de specifieke kaartspelstrategie.
