About Murmuring Volume
Murmuring Volume, Artifact — book, designed by Zoltan Boros first released in september 2026 in the set Reality Fracture.
Murmuring Volume would mainly benefit casual Commander decks that want both mana fixing and a repeatable discard outlet—especially artifact, reanimator, madness, dredge, or graveyard-value decks—but at three mana it is inefficient because it only produces one mana and its card filtering costs an additional two mana, a tap, and a discarded card. Better alternatives include Arcane Signet or the appropriate Signets/Talismans for cheaper ramp, Chromatic Lantern for three-mana fixing, and Mind Stone or Commander Sphere for ramp that can eventually draw a card; Faithless Looting and similar spells are also much more efficient if the main goal is discard-and-draw. Murmuring Volume could see play in a low-powered or budget Commander deck with strong artifact or discard synergies, but it is generally not strong enough for competitive Commander or most constructed formats.
