Een kaartspel gericht op het genereren van tokens, zoals een Selesnya- of Gruul-tokendek in Magic: the Gathering, zou enorm profiteren van het opnemen van Parallel Lives. Deze kaart verdubbelt effectief het aantal gecreëerde tokens, wat een aanzienlijk voordeel oplevert bij het overweldigen van tegenstanders met een zwerm wezens. Hoewel er vergelijkbare kaarten zijn, zoals Anointed Procession, die hetzelfde doen voor witte mana, is Parallel Lives nog steeds een goede keuze en zou het zeker gezien moeten worden in tokengerichte decks vanwege het krachtige effect.
