Een controledeck dat tot doel heeft agressieve strategieën te vertragen, zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Propaganda in Magic: the Gathering. Hoewel Propaganda effectief kan zijn in het afschrikken van aanvallen en het beschermen van je levenstotaal, zijn er betere kaarten zoals Ghostly Prison en Sphere of Safety die vergelijkbare effecten bieden tegen lagere kosten of met extra voordelen. Of Propaganda al dan niet moet worden gespeeld, hangt af van de specifieke strategie en meta van het kaartspel, maar het kan onder de juiste omstandigheden een handig hulpmiddel zijn.
