About Spellshock
Spellshock, Betovering, designed by Thomas M. Baxa first released in Jun, 1998 in the set Exodus and was printed exactly in 4 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 3.05.
Spellshock is vooral effectief in een control- of burn-deck dat tot doel heeft tegenstanders te straffen voor het uitspreken van spreuken, waardoor het uitstekend past bij rode decks die zich richten op het snel aanrichten van schade en het verstoren van het spelplan van de tegenstander. Het werkt goed samen met kaarten die tegenstanders dwingen meerdere spreuken in een beurt uit te spreken of met kaarten die een omgeving met veel spreuken creëren, zoals in een combo- of tempostrategie. Hoewel er aantoonbaar sterkere opties zijn, zoals Chandra en Pyromaster, die kaartvoordeel en directe schade bieden, kan Spellshock nog steeds spelen in niche-builds waar het bestraffen van spell-heavy decks een prioriteit is, vooral in formaten waar spellcasting vaak voorkomt.
