Een deck dat zich richt op het gebruik van enter-the-battlefield-effecten of het beschermen van belangrijke permanents zou baat hebben bij Teferi's Time Twist, vooral in een tempo- of controlestrategie. Hoewel het flexibiliteit en bescherming biedt, kunnen kaarten als Cloudshift of Ephemerate in bepaalde situaties meer directe waarde of synergie bieden, afhankelijk van de specifieke behoeften van het kaartspel. Over het geheel genomen zou Teferi's Time Twist spel kunnen zien in decks die op zoek zijn naar een veelzijdige en tijdelijke verwijderingsoptie met potentieel voordeel.

Auras attached to the exiled permanent will be put into their owners’ graveyards. Equipment attached to the exiled permanent will become unattached and remain on the battlefield. Any counters on the exiled permanent will cease to exist. Once the exiled permanent returns, it’s considered a new object with no relation to the object that it was.
