About Blastoderm
Blastoderm, Creature — beast, designed by Eric Peterson first released in May, 2020 in the set Nemesis and was printed exactly in 9 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.40.
This Blastoderm card would be beneficial in a green-based midrange or control deck looking to protect a key creature from targeted removal spells or abilities. While Blastoderm's Shroud ability provides protection, its Fading mechanic can be a downside as it will eventually sacrifice itself if not dealt with. There are potentially better options available, such as Thrun, the Last Troll, which has similar protection abilities but without the fading drawback, making it a more reliable choice for competitive play. Blastoderm could still see play in more casual or budget decks where its abilities can shine.
