Cold-Blooded Crew fits a casual green +1/+1 counters deck, especially Commander lists that value creature-based counter payoffs and basic-landcycling for mana consistency, but six mana is a steep rate for only two counters and conditional evasion. `Rishkar, Peema Renegade` is generally better for the counter plan: it costs three mana, places two +1/+1 counters, and turns the creatures it enhanced into mana sources; `Renata, Called to the Hunt` is also stronger for counter-focused Commander decks because it adds a counter to every creature that enters under your control. The landcycling gives Crew some value in slower, budget, or landfall-oriented casual decks, where it can be an early land finder rather than a late creature, but it is unlikely to be good enough for competitive Constructed or optimized Commander decks; play it only if you specifically want both a Gorn-themed card and flexible basic-land tutoring in a relaxed counters deck.
