A control deck that focuses on disrupting opponent's key creatures or abilities would benefit from Fresh Start in Magic: The Gathering. While -5/-0 and ability removal can be powerful in certain situations, there are better options available such as Claustrophobia, which completely taps down a creature, or Banishing Light, which exiles a permanent. Fresh Start could see play in more niche decks but may not be a staple in competitive environments due to its limited impact compared to other similar cards.
