Ichor Explosion would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a black sacrifice deck or a deck that generates tokens to sacrifice. While it can be a powerful board wipe in the right situation, there are better options like Damnation or Toxic Deluge that offer more flexibility and efficiency. Ichor Explosion may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high cost and situational nature.
