It’s particularly good in decks that can temporarily pump a unit to 5+ Might, exploit on-death effects, or reanimate threats, mitigating the steep additional cost. However, in more aggressive Mighty builds that rely on board pressure, sacrificing a big unit can be too costly unless the card advantage swings the game.
