A deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and has a strong, resilient creature to benefit from the +3/+3 and flying granted by Tyrannical Pitlord would benefit from this card. However, the drawback of sacrificing the chosen creature when the Pitlord leaves the battlefield may limit its effectiveness in certain situations. Other cards like Baneslayer Angel or Avacyn, Angel of Hope might be better options for similar effects without the sacrifice drawback, making Tyrannical Pitlord less likely to see play in competitive decks.
