About Witch Engine

Witch Engine, Creature — horror, designed by Kev Walker first released in Oct, 1998 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.61.

A deck that focuses on controlling the board and generating mana would benefit from using Witch Engine, especially in a black-heavy deck with plenty of Swamps. While Witch Engine can be a fun and flavorful card to play with, it may not be the most competitive choice due to its high mana cost and the risk of giving control of it to the opponent. There are potentially better options for mana generation and board control in Magic: the Gathering, such as more efficient creatures or spells with similar effects but lower risks.

Rules

04/01/08

Because the ability is targeted, it is not a mana ability. It can only be activated when you have priority, and goes on the stack like other non-mana abilities.
