At just 9 years old, Dana fischer has already broken records being the youngest person to make money in a Grand Prix. But she does not seem to be satisfied with this and continues to advance more and more towards a professional career.
Known for piloting elf decks in Modern, Dana decided to venture into other formats. At the MagicFest Reno 2020 Limited Grand Prix, she even opened 5-0, a brand new record in her career. A sealed event requires great skill to set up decks and to instantly recognize the weaknesses and strengths of your deck and your opponents' decks.

I can’t believe it - I’m 5-0 in the GP at #MTGReno !!!! This is my first 5-0 start ever in a GP and it’s my best start by a lot in a Limited GP. @ChannelFireball @CFBEvents pic.twitter.com/gaB1BZ7bk7

Dana's deck was an Abzan Midrange.
After much trying, she even opened 8-2 on Day 2 of the event, the first Day 2 of a Limited event in her career.
I won Round 10 at #MTGReno so I’m now 8-2! @ChannelFireball pic.twitter.com/r5JSLam9ln

But unfortunately, from that point on Dana started losing, ending the event 8-7. According to Dana's father, she practiced Selead format a lot, playing more than 20 times before the GP and finished 7-2 at Selead specifically. But she was not able to train Draft so much and ended up 1-5 in drafts within the event.
In addition, the duration of the Grand Prix event and the lack of sleep in relation to what she needs at her age took its toll. Dana's father commented that tiredness affected some moves in the last rounds of the event.
I am EXHAUSTED after the first day of the GP at #MTGReno ! Especially with playing Round 9 and finishing at 9pm. But I went 7-2 so not only made my first Limited GP Day 2 but am in good position going into the second day. Time to immediately go to bed now! @ChannelFireball pic.twitter.com/W4kNe6o754

Anyway, Dana seems to have had a lot of fun and, on top of that, she continues to break several career records. We are seeing the beginning of a great professional player.
