Kruphix, God of Horizons would be beneficial in a control or ramp deck that focuses on generating and storing large amounts of mana. While Kruphix's ability to prevent the loss of unspent mana is unique and can be advantageous in certain situations, there are potentially better cards for ramp strategies such as Omnath, Locus of Mana or Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, which provide more immediate and impactful benefits. Kruphix could see play in casual or thematic decks, but may not be as competitive in more optimized or faster-paced formats.

As long as Kruphix is on the battlefield, unused mana will remain in your mana pool as steps and phases end (although it will become colorless). This means you can add mana to your mana pool and spend it during a future step, phase, or turn. Once Kruphix leaves the battlefield, you have until the end of the current step or phase to use the mana before it disappears.
