A deck that focuses on controlling the board and removing threats would benefit from including Angelic Purge, especially in a white-based control deck. While Angelic Purge's additional cost of sacrificing a permanent can be a downside, the flexibility of being able to exile any artifact, creature, or enchantment can be valuable in certain situations. However, there are more efficient removal spells available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares, which may be better options depending on the deck's strategy and format.
