About Applied Geometry

Applied Geometry, Sorcery, designed by Justyna Dura first released in Apr, 2026 in the set Secrets of Strixhaven and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

Applied Geometry would fit best in a Simic (green-blue) midrange or ramp deck that leverages powerful non-Aura permanents with strong static or enter-the-battlefield effects—especially creatures with counters, token synergies, or scaling abilities—since it effectively creates a sizable 6/6+ copy for four mana, making it attractive in +1/+1 counter decks, Fractal/token strategies, or builds that copy value engines like planeswalkers (if allowed to keep loyalty interactions) or powerful creatures. However, it competes with stronger and more flexible options like Esika’s Chariot (repeatable token copying), Spark Double (which avoids the legend rule and doesn’t reduce stats), Rite of Replication (much higher ceiling), and even Double Major in spell-based builds; these alternatives are generally more efficient or provide greater long-term value. Because Applied Geometry is sorcery-speed, requires you to already control a good target, and doesn’t inherently protect or enhance the board beyon
