An Elf Token (a creature token with the subtype Elf, usually 1/1 and with no abilities) is best suited for Elf tribal decks, go-wide creature strategies, or token-based decks that capitalize on having many small creatures, especially in formats like Commander or casual play; these decks often use synergies such as Elvish Archdruid, Priest of Titania, Imperious Perfect, or Ezuri, Renegade Leader to turn a board full of small Elves into significant mana production or a lethal attack. On its own, an Elf token is not a card you “play” but rather something generated by other, more powerful cards, and those enablers—like Elvish Warmaster, Dwynen’s Elite, or Tyvar Kell—are far more important and impactful.
