About Floodgate
Floodgate, Creature — wall, designed by Jeff Miracola first released in Oct, 1996 in the set Mirage and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 2.37.
Floodgate would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on stalling the game and controlling the board with a high number of Islands. However, there are better options like Wall of Denial or Wall of Frost that provide more reliable defenses without the drawback of dealing damage upon leaving the battlefield. Floodgate could see situational play in a deck specifically designed to take advantage of its ability, but overall, it may not be the most optimal choice for competitive play.
