Hex Magic is best suited for aggressive red decks—especially burn, prowess, or “spells-matter” strategies—that want to convert a low-value or nearly empty hand into fresh gas while not permanently losing access to exiled cards, making it strongest when you can immediately replay cheap spells from exile over this and your next turn. It plays particularly well in decks that dump their hand quickly (like Mono-Red Aggro or Izzet Prowess) or that benefit from casting multiple spells in a turn, but at three mana it competes with more efficient and proven options such as **Light Up the Stage** (cheaper and highly efficient card advantage), **Reckless Impulse** and **Wrenn’s Resolve** (two-mana exile-draw spells that are staples in red aggressive decks), and even **Experimental Frenzy** in certain builds, all of which generally provide better rate or tempo.
