This card could be beneficial in a deck focused on aggressive strategies or forcing opponents into unfavorable combat situations. However, there are potentially better cards like Bedlam or Goblin War Drums that offer similar effects more efficiently. While Instigator has niche applications, its high cost and restrictive activation make it less optimal for competitive play compared to other options available in Magic: The Gathering.
