Postmortem Professor would fit best in a black-based aggressive or aristocrats-style deck that wants steady life drain and has lots of cheap instants and sorceries to fuel its graveyard, such as a spells-matter aggro deck, Rakdos sacrifice, or a grindy mono‑black recursion shell; its attack trigger provides incremental drain pressure while the self-recursion makes it resilient to removal in longer games. However, at two mana and unable to block, its stats would need to be very efficient to justify inclusion, and compared to real cards like Blood Artist (which drains on any creature death), Dreadhorde Butcher (aggressive scaling threat), Tenacious Underdog (efficient recursive attacker), or Scrapheap Scrounger (cheap, repeatable recursion with less setup), it is likely weaker and more conditional because it requires both mana and a spell in the graveyard to return.
