Allure of the Unknown, Sorcery, designed by Seb McKinnon first released in Dec, 2019 in the set Theros Beyond Death and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.30.
A deck that focuses on graveyard recursion or reanimation strategies would benefit from using Allure of the Unknown, as it allows you to potentially fill your graveyard with powerful spells that can be later brought back. However, the risk of giving your opponent a free spell can be a significant drawback, making it a risky choice. There are better cards for card advantage and graveyard manipulation, such as Fact or Fiction or Entomb, which are more reliable and have less downside, making Allure of the Unknown less likely to see play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks.

If you cast a spell “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs, such as kicker costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, such as that of Thrill of Possibility, those must be paid to cast the card.
