Reciprocate would be beneficial in a control or defensive white deck that aims to protect itself from aggressive strategies by removing threats that have dealt damage. While Reciprocate is a solid removal option, more versatile and efficient cards like Path to Exile or Swords to Plowshares are often preferred due to their ability to deal with any target, not just creatures that have damaged you.
