About Spell Blast
Spell Blast, Instant, designed by Brian Snõddy first released in Aug, 1993 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 18 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 2.38.
A control deck that aims to disrupt the opponent's game plan by countering key spells would benefit from including Spell Blast in their deck, especially against high mana value spells. While Spell Blast can be effective in certain situations, there are better options available such as Mana Drain, which not only counters the spell but also allows you to ramp up your mana.
