This card would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to deal direct damage and maintain card advantage through recursion. While Trial and Error offers flexibility in copying itself when countered or fizzled, a more efficient option might be Lightning Bolt, which deals 3 damage for just R and doesn't require additional conditions for its effect. However, Trial and Error could still see play in a deck focused on spell recursion and redundancy for added consistency.

Elemental is a card type, and Fire is an elemental type. This has no relation to the creature type Elemental. If an effect refers to an Elemental, it refers to the creature type.
