About Vivisection
Vivisection, Sorcery, designed by Anthony Francisco first released in Feb, 2011 in the set Mirrodin Besieged and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 2.34.
A control or combo deck that can easily generate creature tokens or has expendable creatures would benefit from using Vivisection in Magic: the Gathering. However, there are better cards like Thirst for Knowledge or Compulsive Research that provide card advantage without the need to sacrifice a creature. Vivisection could see play in more niche strategies that specifically benefit from sacrificing creatures for value.
Rules
04/15/13
You must sacrifice exactly one creature to cast this spell; you cannot cast it without sacrificing a creature, and you cannot sacrifice additional creatures.
