According to the analysis conducted by Frank Karsten, Izzet Prowess' dominance is significant: the deck represents almost half of the competitive decks entered in the tournament, with 42.3%, and is proving to be the main force in the Metagame. Followed by Azorius Omniscience with 19.9% and Mono Red Aggro with 10.9%. Together, the three archetypes represent 73.1% of the event's decks.

Izzet Prowess has been the dominant deck in Standard since the release of Cori-Steel Cutter in Tarkir: Dragonstormlink outside website, and its numbers grew significantly in the week following the release of Final Fantasy: in one of the recent Challenges, the archetype represented 34% of the lists in the Top 32.
